This is a wonderful find! This Hopi Indian basket was a domestically used corn seed basket.
It has a broken handle and has a tray lid. Featuring the tribal diety the suns wife - spider woman
who spins the rain clouds light and stormy rains Circa 1940's This basket measures 10' in
diameter and 5 1/2" deep and the tray is 10 1/2. Condition is very good considering the use of this item. |
